01 February 2022 was a very special day for Linkus. That’s when we launched our first free webinar to explain what SEO is to our freelance community.
It was a kind of highly interactive TV show, more than just a free training on SEO. It had memorable guests, polls, tips, tools, questions and – most importantly – answers.

The 4 rules of SEO
The goal of this freelance free training was to make our participants confident enough to start with their own SEO strategy.
However, search engines are a rather complex discipline.
That’s why we opted for a pragmatic approach to those essential principles that explain how Google thinks.
So, let’s see what the 4 rules of SEO are:
- Help Google help you
Does your webpage provide users with answers to their question or is it just advertisement for your company’s products or services? - You will never be smarter than Google
Play by the rules or you may loose traction in ranking to your competitors. - Focus to scale
Local dimension offers less competition, so you should use it as a leverage.
Structured citations on local repositories (i.e. Google My Business, or Yelp) can help with that. - It’s a matter of value
SEO techniques evolve, but the principles stay the same. On the other hand, make sure you have some valuable content to share. Otherwise, you may also consider choosing other marketing battles!
The SEO tools
One of the topics, to which our participants showed a lot of interest, has been a list of (possibly free) tools to get started with SEO.
We promised that we would share the complete list of tools, which our super guests, Paolo Margari and Mathias Noyez, talked about.
And we, at Linkus, always keep our promises.
Our SEO tools list include platforms to perform a keyword research (such as kwfinder or the Keyword Planner of Google Ads).
But also applications that facilitate technical SEO, which is the overall maintenance of a web-page’s performance (have you ever tried Screaming Frog, for instance?).
However, we also had the chance to talk about general optimisation, including non-textual content, such as videos.
The SEO free training videos
Now, you will probably start to feel miserable for not participating in all this.
Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.
First, we have prepared video highlights of the event, so that you can get an idea of what you have missed, in less than 2 minutes.
Second, the full webinar of our SEO free training is still available to our community!
The very exclusive certificate
Last but certainly not least, participants had the chance to test their newly acquired skills by answering three final questions.
Those who picked the right options, will receive a very exclusive Linkus certificate, which will definitely increase their chance to land a freelance assignment as SEO experts. 🙂
No worries, in case you missed this free training, though.
You can still watch it in full, for free.
Did you find this information useful?
Then, remember: sharing is caring!
By letting other people know about our free freelance training, you may help friends or colleagues find their way in the complex world of marketing.
