Als Benelux en Europees merken- en modellengemachtigde heeft Johan zich gespecialiseerd in het lanceren van nieuwe merken tot het opbouwen van IE-rechtenportefeuilles en het beheer ervan om ervoor te zorgen dat de opgebouwde rechten gedurende meer dan 20 jaar in het bedrijf gebruikt kunnen blijven worden.
Johan focuses on ‘being able to’ do business and uses cost-efficient strategic parameters to do so. He is happy to assist entrepreneurs in launching new product or company names.
To do so, he first checks the availability and uses defensive yet sustainable protection techniques via trademarks, designs, domain names and even social media.
He defends the litigant both in negotiations and in oppositions. Most of his clients are entrepreneurs who want to use their experience on their own account, from creative communication agencies to growing companies with an international reach.
He is able to offer these services thanks to his colleagues who work with him every day to find constructive solutions, and to the groups of companies who put their trust in GEVERS, such as Colruyt, Baronie, Barry Callebaut, Beneo, DCM, Oxurion and Luminus.
In 2004 he became a BMM Certified Trademark Attorney and follows specialized seminars throughout the year to remain certified. He is also an enthusiastic speaker himself, teaches during the BBMM professional and paralegal training and is a frequent guest lecturer at the KULeuven.
